You must possess a unique blend of business and technical skills in the financial profitability domain, and you must be able to effectively balance and lead the multiple constituencies necessary in the creation and maintenance of a successful product line. Your communication and leadership skills must be excellent and you will have a clear vision for profitability and be able to translate that vision into our product set. You must enjoy spending time in the market, understanding the business problems faced by our clients and you must be able to find innovative solutions for them. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company with clarity, both written and through oral presentations, and be effective working and leading collaborative teams and within various software development environments. You will work with a development counterpart to define product requirements and specifications. You will work with the marketing and sales teams to define the strategy to approach the market, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Managing the entire product life cycle including strategic planning and tactical activities • Specifying requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by visits to customers and prospects • Driving a solution across the various development teams—primarily development, marketing and implementation teams. • Developing and implementing a company-wide marketing and sales plan and working with the relevant parties to execute it • Providing input into a product pricing plan that incorporates the market demands and the competitive positioning • Analyzing potential relationships with business partners for the product line CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • 3 to 5+ years of software development or product management experience focused on the banking industry. • Experience with the development of technology based profitability solutions for financial services • Strong knowledge of the technologies used in developing analytical solutions for banks • A degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering or computer science or an MBA will be considered a strong plus • Direct industry experience managing the profitability team of a regional banking organization would be a plus. • This position requires travel to customer and prospect’s sites in North America and Europe.
